Walking My Way to Youth?

Walking… every where you turn newspapers, Facebook ads, and random emails create a rallying cry for becoming younger, thinner, and healthier. In my younger days I ran a couple miles about every other day. I was younger, thinner, and healthier then.

Now, I walk about a mile every day, do chair yoga, and am working on chair exercises for leg strength. I am not any younger and oddly, I still grow older every day. I am trim anyway, genetics. Health is always a question since the body is its own person, growing more like a stranger all the time.

It is said that age brings wisdom. I feel less wise, and my memory requires a moment to kick in. Of course, I am grateful each day to be living to see my children and grandchildren.
