As the image morphed into the vast landscape, objects in the background cleared and as in a diorama slowly became three-dimensional. Creeping lizards and clattering squirrels chirped and blood-red stone giants beckoned with a crippled claw. The need to explore overwhelmed yet the binoculars belied the distance and physical fitness such a trek would require.
