“The use of traveling is to regulate imagination by reality, and instead of thinking how things may be, to see them as they are.” Samuel Johnson
The morning air is crisp, 32 degrees, and the skies are clear with the first of the Snow Geese flying across the Assawoman Bay in Ocean City. We are packed and starting on a trip of probably 10,000 miles to see friends and family and to escape the winter. The best stop will be in Venice Beach, California to meet my new grandson.
Always at the beginning of a trip in the RV, the sense of relief to be on the road is greater than the lure of the adventures which await. Since my retirement in 2011 there have been over 20 trips by air, car, and RV across the world and the US.
I await the new roads, the new quirky stops, the funny little adventures!
